Tona Monroe, DAc, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist, clinical herbalist and Certified Quantum-Touch Practitioner.  She graduated from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in 2018, completed the HomeGrown Herbalist School of Botanical Medicine Clinical Herbalist program in 2021 and earned a Doctor of Acupuncture degree from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in 2025.

The doctoral program included specialty courses in Cancer Care, Mental Health and Trauma Informed Care, Orthopedics and Reproductive Health.  As part of the doctoral Cancer Care course she completed the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Fundamentals of Oncology Acupuncture course.  These courses have broaden her understanding and ability to offer treatment for emotional and mental wellness, fertility and women’s health, injuries, pain relief, sports medicine and to provide support during cancer treatment.

When she isn’t practicing natural medicine, she and her husband Troy are spending time with their rescue dogs, hiking and organic gardening.  Dr. Tona (pronounced like Tonya but without the y) also enjoys studying USA history and is the treasurer of the Constitution Society.

Appointments are available Wednesdays and Thursdays.   A deposit is required for appointments booked by phone.

East Tennessee Holistic Medicine (ETHM) takes cash, check, credit and debit cards, health savings accounts (for services but not supplements), Venmo and Zelle.  ETHM does not accept insurance.
